my wardrobe used to consist of only black, and white and the only colour in it was grey! but with all the recent emphasis on colour my monochromatic wardrobe has started transforming and now has splashes of bright colour...im happy about this but i'm still a novice at wearing it. and colour blocking...well that just scares me, whenever i try to do it i end up looking like a colour blind clown. in search of some lessons on colour blocking i came across Elisa Nalin who does it like no other, she has real skill in balancing bright colours and making it look sophisticated. her wonderful warm smiles make me think that the outside is just a small reflection of the brightness of her character.

posh tots contest

ive entered an olioboard contest.  olioboard is so much fun to use. since being in australia I've had time to play around with it as the little one is getting entertained by all the family. this contest is for posh tots, a baby/kids store. these are the two boards i made. you have to use at least 5 items from the posh tots store, I'm totally in love with the zebra i couldn't help but use it in both of the rooms, and how cool is the hopscotch rug from crate and barrel.

pencil it in

so amongst the long list of new year resolutions that im going to forget about next week, remember in a few months, and feel guilty about in november is the frivolous pursuit of editing and only adding to my wardrobe pieces that reflect my personality (in a refined way) and my age (eeeek!). so i thought about it and i figure i need to add some pencil skirts to my daily clothing diet this year - helping me look more grown up, feminine and still comfortable enough to allow me to reach into the pram with relative ease! im thinking quirky fabrics to keep them fresh. heres some inspiration...
