leather shorts

leather shorts seem to work all year round, paired with black tights for winter or bare legged for summer. they seem to be easy to mix with tops etc too, like a much loved pair of jeans...hmmm going to keep my eye out for a pair. don't need them but waaaant them ;)

wear this

i know i am not the only one who stands in front of a full wardrobe every day thinking 'i have nothing to wear'....and its usually time rather than content thats the problem. frankly its quite irritating when you want to run out the door, have a million things to remember (i have a one year old so leaving the house means a one and a half page checklist!) and you end up standing there thinking theres just no time so ill wear the same thing i wore yesterday (and then proceed to use a wet wipe to remove the remnants of baby snacks off my clothes). meanwhile all the things i would love to wear just hang there so sad that yet again i didn't pick them. so i figure if i can style potential outfits when i have time then i can simply pull them off the hangers and go. lets see if it works...

look #1 denim shirt+lace skirt+pink flats/blue heels

i'm especially excited to wear this because i bought this french lace and had the skirt made but still haven't worn it. i think ill try and always give myself a flats and heels option.

painted plastic animal decor

i have loved the idea of painted plastic toys, specifically dinosaurs (the first time i saw it was in a furniture ad in vogue interiors). anyhow i think it is definitely a must on my diy to do list (the more i pinterest the longer this list is getting...you can imagine how long it is if painting plastic animals is on it). So now with little d i have a excuse for having such things lying around, adorning shelves etc ("just a fun teaching tool for the little one" ill say). there is an amazing range of them being sold on etsy by 'the good machinery shop' they are so fantastical and fun.

images from the glow

the glow is like a mamma and baby version of the coveteur. it shares images of the lives of successful and fashionable mums. i enjoyed having a glimpse into their homes and their thoughts. as for decor below are a few images that i loved...especially liking the idea of glass jars for storage of things for the future and i am totally obsessed with dinosaurs (have been showing little d dinosaur picture books from week 3 of life...tad scary maybe...but i do often tell him that they're not around anymore haha).

i guess you have to have been living under a rock not notice or see eva fontanelle in a magazine, on a blog or in a book. though her style can be quirky it looks relaxed and comfortable rather than contrived. oh and i love her hair.
