I just love the old tin drum design used as a container that i’ve seen in children’s rooms...
so i decided to up-cycle a card board container we had, but if you don’t have something like this lying around you could buy a cardboard container at a craft or haberdashery store.
start by painting the whole thing white. i used acrylic paint.
then using a pencil and measuring tape i drew on the guide lines for painting the black triangles. in retrospect it would have been easier if instead of drawing the lines i had marked it out using painters masking tape...then you could just paint without fear of getting an uneven edge (lesson learnt after the fact!).
this is what i mean about the painters masking tape...
the finished product...doesn’t look too bad right ;)?
