light on light looks (i guess they aren't all "white") require a little bravery but when you commit wow what a statement they make. i think these looks are anything but boring and washed out, you just keep wanting to search for the interesting layers and details. it seems to work amazingly well when there is a mix of textures, as for shoes i think greys and neutrals work really well, and even black can work sometimes...love it.
